About Voicing Up & Our Founder
At Voicing Up International, we exist to help individuals reclaim their voice, rewrite their story, and lead with purpose. Birthed not from a business plan, but from personal battles and breakthroughs, our mission is rooted in over 15 years of trauma advocacy, leadership development, and radical faith. We are a voice for the broken, the builders, and those ready to transform pain into purpose.
Our founder, LaNora Purvis, knows firsthand the impact of unhealed wounds—and the incredible power of healing. Having walked alongside women emerging from addiction, leaders surviving burnout, and youth battling identity loss, she founded Voicing Up to create real, safe spaces where transformation can happen.
LaNora is a Certified Professional Life Coach, Certified Sexual Addiction Coach and Certified Mental Health Coach. She also specializes in Human/Sex Trafficking Training. Through mentorship, speaking, coaching, and training, LaNora and her son Kolton help people rise whole, bold, and unstoppable.

"Your survival was not the end of your story...
it was the start of your calling."
- LaNora Purvis

"Distance and time zones didn't stop the impact."
Working with Voicing Up International and Mrs. LaNora has been nothing short of life-changing. Even from all the way up here in Alaska....with the time difference and thousands of miles between us...we made it work. That’s the kind of dedication and heart LaNora brings to everything she does.
Her message of hope, healing, and radical transformation transcends location. Whether it was a late-night call, a Zoom session during my early morning, or encouraging words sent just when I needed them most...she showed up. I felt seen, heard, and empowered every step of the way.
Voicing Up isn’t just a business...it’s a movement! And no matter where you are in the world, I can promise you this: If you connect with LaNora and her team, you will not walk away the same. I didn’t!

"...it helped me a lot with my self-esteem..."
“When I started here in DAEP and they first talked to us, I thought it was going to be a regular group, you know? Like a therapist. But honestly, it helped me a lot with my self-esteem and how I am with myself. I think that this group helped because it helps me think through my choices and helps me decide things before making the wrong decision. I have made better decisions since joining this group and I’m going to miss it a lot.”

"This program has really helped a lot."
“I joined the Voicing Up program because my mom made me sign up. At first, I wasn’t too sure about it. I didn’t think that I needed help. But I realized I needed help and I’ve been sober since I got out of juvey on January 23. This program has really helped a lot, knowing what I’ve been through and what I’ve come from. It’s been really great having mentors and showing us the roads we were going down with the choices we were making. This has made a difference in a lot of people’s lives, and especially mine. My biological mom was the one that got me into a lot of the bad stuff I got into. Please let the voicing up program stay here with us and the DAEP.”

"My experience in coming to this program was really good."
“My experience in coming to this program was really good. I thought that it sounded fun and a good chance to have something to distract me in this school. I didn’t want to come to DAEP because it isn’t’ good for my mental health being in one room all day. The teachers really don’t do much but help with your work. They try to make your day, but it really still isn’t enough. This program has helped me be distracted from drugs and smoking. It has helped me realize what I need to work on and I’m thankful for the help they’ve given me. It helps me to talk without being judged. I think it would be good for y’all who want help to join this program.”

"...this can 100% help you."
"I am in DAEP for being under the influence. I found out about Voicing Up because my teacher told me about it. I thought it was going to be helpful and I was right. I think anyone that joins this will find it to be very helpful because it’s not just one topic – it goes really deep. So whatever issues you struggle with, this can 100% help you.”
Glenndel
"I'm grateful I joined the program."
"I came to DAEP because I got caught with drugs. When I first heard about the program, they promised us free food. That’s low-key why I joined. When I got to the class, it wasn’t just food. I made a connection with my peers and the teachers of the program. They really helped me out a lot and made it easier to express myself and to talk about stuff. They made me feel more comfortable and helped me to grow closer to God. I’m grateful I joined the program.”

"...it's a bond you wouldn't expect."
“A few months ago I joined Voicing Up. I’m trying to find comfort in something and I found it in Voicing Up. From where I come from, I never had much love in my family. In December 2023, I got into a fight and that’s where my path starting going downhill. I tried my hardest to get clean but it was really hard for me. I was smoking weed and popping Percocet. I know my past isn’t what defines me, it’s my future that defines me. If you’re thinking about joining Voicing Up, I recommend it because it’s not just therapeutic - it’s a bond you wouldn’t expect. You talk to people and meet people you wouldn’t expect, who have been through the same things you have. They are normal people who have messed up in the past that have had the same problems. Don’t just join because I say to join. They really want to be here to help you. They don’t have to be here, it’s for you. And its up to you if you want to make a change in your life.”
